To Make Custom Glass Window Shelves on a Budget You Will Need:

Metal or Wood shelf brackets

Screws

Power drill

Plexi glass or real glass

Epoxy glue (optional)

Now, these clear glass window shelves float in front of your window and are the [perfect place to display your vintage McCoy pottery collection or even have an herb garden in yoru kitchen.

The first step is to buy your metal or wood shelf brackets to support your glass window shelves. Look at yoru window. If you have one window, then you will need two brackets per glass window shelf. If you have two side by side windows in your kitchen, then you will need three brackets.

Basically, to support yoru glass window shelves, you will need one metal or wood shelf bracket for each vertical window frame you will be hanging your window shelf in front of.

Now, measure how wide your windows are. You need to measure from the outside left of the wood frame to the outside right wood frame. The outer edge.

If you are worried about the glass window shelf moving, then use clear epoxy to attach the clear glass shelves to the window brackets! You are finished!

Bob and general contractor Ron Gan go into a former bedroom, which is being converted into the kitchen. Ron explains that he will next insulate the cavity and attach drywall to the metal studs all the way across the wall and then hang the cabinets. In the bathroom on the other side of the house, Bob and Gan look at another window that has been filled in to allow room for a shower. A high opening has been left for a smaller bathroom window and the brick is toothed every third course. This wall is more exposed on the outside and hence the toothing is more important to maintain the look of the original exterior wall. Next Mohammed installs the new window. A framed casement is already in the window and Mohammed uses long finish screws to screw the window in through the jamb and into the framing. Finally insulation will be added and the window will be caulked around the outside for a weathertight seal.
